To Lappeenranta

16h20-we are in the bus,the travel begin to be boring and so long because we had 2h30 of plane (where we ate gastromic food) and 1h of bus yet and it stays 2 hours. Here, the landscapes are very differents : there are many fields and we haven't seen any...

In Lappeenranta, there are 4 highschools. One of them is our penfriends' school named Kimpisen lukio. Finnish shool system is very different from our school system. First, they begin earliest at 8 and finnish at about 3 o'clock. A lesson lasts an hour...

Yllämaa Jewellery village

Today we took the bus at 8 AM to go to the Ylàmaa village, to saw some spectrolite. First we visited the museum. We saw some special rocks as spectrolite or ametisis and others. Then we went to the shop to see how to make it. Then we took the bus again...

Houses in Finland

In Finland, the most of the houses are built either in wood or either in red briks. They all have a ladder on their roof which is used to get out of the house when it's in fire or just in order to help the sweeper. Finnish houses don't have any shutter,...

Museums in Lappeenranta

At first we made two groups in order to visit the museums of Lappeenranta. At first we visited the art (taide in finnish) museum of Lappeenranta which theme was human being. The art teacher of the hight school made us work on two paintings and one sculpture....

Saunas

All finish people has one in his home. This is the same word in finnish but we pronounce it saona. It consist to stay in a very hot closed room (between 60 and 100 degrees) during 20 or 30 minutes. The room is made of pine wood. It is heated by a wood...
