Hockey

Here we are! we're so impatient to discover this scandinavian land! But first, what do we know about Finland? Nothing... Oh yes, maybe that it's cold in winter, that the days are really short or really long and that they have a moose! that's all! But let's have a look on ... Ice Hockey, THE finnish sport, THE national sport! We had a load of chance... our finnish ( suomi in Finnish ) partners booked for us Ice Hockey matches, the first: Swizerland Vs Tcheq Republic and USA Vs Finland! It was the U18 ( under 18) World Championnship! The game takes place in 3 parts, each one is 20 minutes long. But wait! the first match is beginning! And Tcheqi is already heading the game by 1-0! However, the swiss team is not already done! and Rod, the number 27, destroy the Tcheqi's goal! 1-1!

The game is really tense, the two team are so strong, so fast, so strategic! The puck rolls everywhere and my French eyes have some difficulties to stare at it....
At the end of the last part, Tcheqi is winning 3-2, the Swiss use a well-known strategie, they remove the goal keeper by a 6th player, by this way, they have a chance to egalize, however, it's also dangerous....but Swiss team are already losing so.... Unfortunatly, Swiss team loses 4-2!

Now it's the Finnish USA match time! And we can hear in the public yelling " Suomi! Suomi! Suomi! Suomi!". There's just an awesome athmosphere here! But USA who were a couple of time the world champion, are not done yet. The two team have an insane gameplay! At 1 minute of the end of the last period, there's a really close score: 3-3...
Oh ... no..... USA is winning... 4-3 at the last minute.... Finnish team trys a  last desesperate attack where one of the suomi breaks his stick. BIIIIIIIIIIIP! The match is ended! What an awesome match! Unfortunatly the Suomis loose but we're all wondering about a huge revenge!

It's time to go home now.... After a nice sauna, i go in front of the Tv, the little brother of my partner is watching Football... what a boring sport....
